After a fire in March of 2014, owner Nick Lambrou chose to have the house rebuilt. After thorough study of the previous building and review by Ithaca Landmarks Preservation Commissions, the house was redesigned to fit the needs of the owner and new codes to a close interpretation of the previous. The signature 3rd floor palladian window and cupola were recreated to return the character of the previous home to the neighborhood. Siding and trim elements were were carefully selected to closely match the original. Stained glass that was salvaged from the windows of the fire struck home was used to create a light box that is now perched above the main entry. The home consists of 3 stories + basement, 11 bedrooms and 5 baths.
The building received a Pride of Ownership Award from the City of Ithaca / Ithaca Rotary Club.
