Street View

The building facade is made of two color split face masonry organized in horizontal and vertical bands and trimmed with blue tiles and concrete sills. The roof line is broken up with decorative raised parapets and a colorful turret at each street corner.

First Floor Plan

The narrow building site dictated the floor plan. The apartment entry is located at the left corner leading to the main lobby. Retail stores are located along the street. The rest of the building contains dwelling units.

Close Up

The narrow site with a large street frontage on an acute angle provides a unique building view hiding the main body of the structure. Raised parapet and decorative turrets at each end break up the roof line.

Rear View

The sloping site allowed two additional levels and partial basement at the rear of the building. Inset balconies provide distant views of the surrounding hills. Parking for the building is provided at two levels.

Collegetown Plaza was among the first major apartment building in the heart of Collegetown's urban core. The building's footprint conforms to the narrow site with a large street frontage where the road curves down the hill. The main facade of the building facing the street is six stories high while sloping site conditions allowed two additional levels and partial basement at the rear. The building houses 85 dwelling units with retail spaces at the street level. Off-street parking is located at the back of the building.
